Reliable chipset.
A high-quality and widely used JMS583 chipset from the chip manufacturer JMircon is used. The PCIe 3.0 x2 to USB 3.1 Gen2 chipset supports all major functions. These include, among other things, the TRIM command important for SSDs and the USB Attached SCSI Protocol (UASP) targeted for optimised data transfers. The chipset also complies with the NVM Express 1.3 specification.

Quick on the go.
With USB 3.1 (Gen 2) Type-C even greater data transfer rates are now achieved. The high transfer rate of up to 10 Gbps is ensured by both USB 3.1 cables included. The case can be connected via a standard USB-A port or via a modern USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port.

Passive cooled.
The patented ICY BOX cooling system ensures a constant heat exchange as it can only be surpassed by active cooling with a fan. The housing therefore relies on sophisticated passive cooling, in which the M.2 SSD has direct contact with the outer aluminium housing due to the clever use of additional components, whose cooling fins release the heat into the ambient air.
